Call of Duty: Modern Warfare battle royale mode has been spotted by dataminers - gemmillyouser

Dataminers have spotted a battle royale mode in the beta beginning code for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, fuelling rumours that it could be coming to the mettlesome in its launch or in the future (via VG247).

Though the Modern Warfare beta is done and dusted, dataminers over at VG Sources are as fancy as bees. The idea of a battle royale mode has been mentioned before, when a Ring of Tariff YouTuber claimed that the mode would be arriving arsenic a standalone game in early 2020. With all leaks, this was gaga a pinch of salt, but the YouTuber had been spot along predicting this year's Call of Duty title before it was officially announced.

Infinity Ward had been cagey about battle royale, too, and same that players would 'have to wait and see' whether it would be included in Modern Warfare. And immediately, this uncovered code suggests that IT was at the very least considered by the developer as unrivalled of 40 multiplayer modes known aside votive dataminers.

VG Source clarifies that these modes may be relics of an earlier moment in Modern Warfare's development, or may have been butt in the beta for examination purposes. Information technology's also possible that a collection of the multiplayer modes will touch on the game in new competitive seasons, and of course, wholly of the code is subject to change. But, battle royale is there with the musical phrase, 'Eliminate everyone. Live on.'

We will have to wait and realize if battle royale does touch down in Modern War's multiplayer, as the datamined code has not been acknowledged by Activision or Eternity Ward.

Call of Duty: Current War launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 25.
